Founded by Thanthai Periyar E.V. Ramasami in 1935 and is being run by The Periyar Self Respect Propaganda Institution,it's now in 88th year of publication. Since 1962, it is edited by Asiriyar Dr. K. Veeramani, M.A., B.L. Covers articles pertaining to Periyar Thought - especially highlighting rationalism,social justice, caste annihilation, scientific spirit, women-empowerment, life skills, youth welfare, medicine, trade and commerce, sports, humanism and self-respect.
