63 Years of Establishment

Nagammaiyar Children's Home founded by the great Social Revolutionary Thanthai Periyar in 1959 grew under the patronage of Annai Maniammaiyar and expanded by Asiriyar Dr. K. Veeramani to care for the abused, neglected and disadvantaged children. The Home provides residential care to the girl children standing against child marriage, child abuse and trauma. So far about 4,000 helpless girl children have been directed to a new life through this Home. The children secure 100% result in SSLC and HSC Board examinations every year. Children of the Home have a number of trophies, medals and certificates of appreciation in sports activities to their credit. They actively partake in the "Tamizhal lnnaivom" television programme that is being forecasted once in 3 months where students across 22 countries participate. All these achievements and laurels are made possible under the aegis of Mr. V. Anburaj who strongly supports and motivates the children. Presently more than 200 girl children are in the Home tinder the generous support of Asiriyar Ayya and Thirumathi Mohana Veeramani who stand as pillar to the Home frequenting and pondering over their wellbeing.
